We Can Do This.

Dr. Timmy Allen spent 22 years teaching and leading in public schools in Boston, the Bronx, Springfield, and East Longmeadow, Massachusetts. For the last 12 of those years, he served as a middle school principal. Today, he is an Associate Professor of Education at American International College, where he prepares the next generation of educators and leaders.

Timmy’s work centers on building the optimism, energy, and practical skills educators need to succeed in today’s schools. He believes deeply in the human side of education: programs and initiatives only work when the people implementing them feel motivated, supported, and inspired. His keynotes blend real-world stories from the front lines of education with strategies educators can immediately apply in their schools and classrooms.

Outside the classroom and keynote stage, Timmy wears many hats. He serves as Assistant Executive Director of the New England League of Middle Schools (NELMS), sits on the Board of Directors for the Springfield Ballers youth nonprofit, and is a founder and board member of 16 Lyrics. Through his #TimmyStrongHealth initiative, he also provides free CPR training in schools and communities. In his spare time, he coaches girls’ basketball at both the AAU and high school levels.

When you work with Timmy, you can expect:

  • High energy and enthusiasm

  • Stories educators instantly connect with

  • Humor, empathy, and authenticity

Voices from the Field

"Tim's work changes organizations and communities because it changes the thinking and the mindsets that give them life. He is, at the same time, both the visionary leader who pushes you to outgrow yourself and the understanding sibling you didn't know you needed. Tim is good for kids, and for the adults who shape their futures.

"Dr. Timothy Allen kicked off our mid-year professional development day as our Keynote Speaker and delivered a perfectly-timed, relevant, powerful, and motivating message that our educators needed in the middle of winter.  His relatable insights on the "teacher mentality" of today's educators is empowering and reinvigorated our purpose for the important work we do."

"Timmy has a natural ability to connect with people in a way that feels genuine and relatable. Whether he’s speaking to brand new teachers or veteran school leaders, he brings a level of self-awareness, passion, and honesty that really hits home with educators. He knows how to meet people where they are and challenge them in a way that pushes their thinking without losing them. He has a way of using language and storytelling that sticks with people long after the session ends."

"Tim's interactive presentation helped our staff engage with student-centered, practical, relationship-building strategies.  Tim sparked meaningful conversations and reflection about how we can better support all learners, and after our time with Tim ended, one teacher shared: ‘For me, this was the most useful-feeling and impactful PD we've done!’  It has been several months since our work with Tim, and teachers are STILL using the language and tools that he introduced."

"Dr. Tim Allen is a true joy to be around. His keynote speech at the NELMS conference was inspiring and struck a meaningful chord with so many of us in the room. It served as a powerful reminder of how important mindset is in shaping both our personal and professional lives.
